All-Ireland Basketball Playoffs

Best of luck to our U-19 Boys' and Girls' Basketball Teams who are competing this weekend in the All-Ireland Basketball playoffs here in Carrick-on-Shannon.

1st Year Retreat

Our 1st Years have been offered the opportunity to attend a retreat in the Youth Ministry Office in Knock Shrine, Co. Mayo on Tuesday, 29th January 2019.

The cost of the day is €25 and this will cover the cost of the bus and our contribution to the retreat team.

The bus will leave the school at 8am sharp and students will return to Carrick-on-Shannon by 4pm that day.

Classes as normal for students who do not wish to travel.

Junior Cycle Talk

Gráinne Macken, Regional Leader of JCT, has vey kindly agreed to give a talk to parents/ guardians of our Junior Cycle students on the changes in the new Junior Cycle.

This talk will take place on Thursday, 17th January 2019 at 7.30pm in The Bush Hotel.

This event has been organised by our Parents' Association.

DCU Entrance Scholar

Congratulations to Mark Diffley who was awarded an Entrance Scholarship Award by Dublin City University recently.

ETTA Awards

Congratulations to Tara Duggan who received an award from the Engineering Technology Teachers' Association in Mullingar on Saturday, 24th November 2018.

Tara received the award to acknowledge her outstanding results in the Leaving Certificate Engineering Examination in 2018.

All Ireland Scholarship Awards

Congratulations to Justyna Twardoch who was awarded an All Ireland Scholarship Award at a cermony which took place in the University of Limerick Concert Hall last Saturday.

UCD Awards

Congratulations to Christopher Brady, Louise Gaffney and Aisling O'Connor who all received Entrance Scholar Awards last night from University College Dublin.

We wish them, and all the Class of 2018, every success in their chosen careers. 

Book Rental Scheme

Payment for the Book Rental Scheme is now overdue.
